# How to Upload Games in Play Store

If you have developed a game for Android devices and want to share it with millions of users around the world, you need to upload it to the Google Play Store. The Google Play Store is the official app store for Android devices, where users can discover, download, and enjoy your game.

In this blog post, we will guide you through the steps of uploading your game to the Google Play Store. We will assume that you have already built your game with Android (either using the one-click build for Android or the manual process with Cordova for advanced users).

## Step 1: Create a Google Play Developer Account

To upload your game to the Google Play Store, you need to have a Google Play Developer Account. This is a separate account from your regular Google account, and it requires a one-time registration fee of $25 USD.

To create a Google Play Developer Account, go to [https://play.google.com/apps/publish/](https://play.google.com/apps/publish/) and follow the instructions. You will need to provide some basic information about yourself or your company, accept the developer agreement, and pay the fee.

Once you have created your account, you can access the Google Play Console, which is where you will manage your game and its distribution.

## Step 2: Prepare Your Game for Release

Before you upload your game to the Google Play Store, you need to prepare it for release. This means that you need to:

- Test your game thoroughly on different devices and screen sizes

- Optimize your game performance and size

- Add metadata such as app name, description, icon, screenshots, etc.

- Generate a signed APK or App Bundle file

To test your game on different devices and screen sizes, you can use physical devices or emulators. You can also use tools like Firebase Test Lab or Pre-launch reports to run automated tests on various devices.

To optimize your game performance and size, you can use tools like Android Performance Tuner or Android vitals to monitor and improve key metrics such as frame rate, battery usage, memory usage, etc. You can also use features like App Bundle or Play Asset Delivery to reduce your app size and deliver assets dynamically.

To add metadata such as app name, description, icon, screenshots etc., you need to create a store listing for your game in the Google Play Console. This is where you provide information about your game that will be shown to users on the Google Play Store. You can also create custom store listings for different languages or regions.

To generate a signed APK or App Bundle file ,you need to sign your app with a certificate that identifies you as the developer of the app. This ensures that only you can update your app on the Google Play Store. You can choose whether to use Google Play app signing (recommended) or sign locally with your own certificate.
